Description
The beautiful, and historic, Burnside bridge at the Antietam National Battlefield on an early foggy morning. This was once the scene of major carnage near the end of the day which turned out to be the single bloodiest day of the Civil War. There were 23,110 casualties, both Yankee and Rebel . . . brave men who made the ultimate sacrifice for their beliefs.
